THUNDER BAY ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE PRESERVATION
You don’t have to leave shore, or even your couch for that matter to get a bird’s eye view of Thunder Bay Island. In 2014, the Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab installed cameras atop of an 80 foot tower to help monitor conditions on Lake Huron. The cameras give a 360 degree view of the lake and Thunder Bay Island and update every 30 minutes. Just type in the address: glerl.noaa.gov/metdata/tbi/ And enjoy the view!
